Cony barely beat Oceanside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Mariners 13-4 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Mariners: they've now won five in a row.

Cony let Matt Boston and Trent Hayward run wild. Boston went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Hayward went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those runs marked the first that Boston has scored this season. Wyatt McKenney was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Cony's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Oceanside, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cony will take on Lincoln Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oceanside, they will challenge Waterville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
