The Blake Yellow Jackets will challenge the Strawberry Crest Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Strawberry Crest likes a good challenge.
Blake barely beat Hillsborough the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellow Jackets simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Terriers 63-24. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Blake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Newman Hall, who rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Newman Hall has posted since back in November of 2024. Eddie Mamudi was another key signal caller, throwing for 211 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes.
Blake's run defense was locked in: Hillsborough could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Newman Hall for the heroic effort on defense: he. Blake didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.9.
Blake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ashton Goggins and Jadarian Collins. Collins got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Strawberry Crest entered their game against Sumner on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Chargers received a blow as they fell 30-14 to the Stingrays. The Chargers gained 94 more yards on the day, but it was the Stingrays that made the best use of them.
Although Strawberry Crest took the loss, they still got scores from Sevin Bagnato and Hunter Hall.
Blake pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.3 points over those games. As for Strawberry Crest, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Blake strolled past Strawberry Crest in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-14. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
