Even though the Sayre Sabres scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, High School of the Future still came out on top. High School of the Future walked away with a 64-55 victory over Sayre. The victory made it back-to-back wins for High School of the Future.
High School of the Future's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but A Jeune led the charge by scoring 27 points along with seven assists and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jeune has scored at least a third of High School of the Future's points. The team also got some help courtesy of G Banks, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists.
High School of the Future's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Sayre, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High School of the Future will challenge Strawberry Mansion at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sayre, they will head out on the road to take on Roxborough at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
