GARRETT BRITE and ALEX CARDONA provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Riverside Indian. The connection went for 83 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 3 this season.
Lindsay was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Leopards vanquished Hinton 51-24 earlier in the week.
Frederick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bombers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. TREVOR FLORES has thrown for 2354 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while GRANT HOOVER has 32 catches for 728 yards. MARCUS IBARRA leads the league in rushing with 584 yards.
A big matchup in 2A District 3 this week will be when Frederick takes on the Comets. The Bombers are currently in first, while Hinton is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Frederick takes on Chad Broughton's team. Hugh Farmer's team has allowed 96 points this season, while the Comets have given up 159. The Bombers allowed 0 points last week as they beat the Braves.
Frederick extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Riverside Indian, 75-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
