The Downtown Doral Dolphins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Calusa Prep, falling 70-31.
Despite the loss, Downtown Doral still got an impressive performance from Juan Diego Castro, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Castro scored a full 35.5% of Downtown Doral's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sebastian Bueno was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Downtown Doral's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Calusa Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
Downtown Doral will be home for the holidays to greet Jewish Culture at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Calusa Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Miami Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
