Volleyball Recap: Parkview Starts Season with Win Against Lanier

Parkview gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lanier Longhorns. The Panthers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Longhorns, so the Panthers were just returning the favor.

Parkview didn't let Lanier take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23.

Lilah Thomas went supernova, getting 11 digs and two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Lanier and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Parkview has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against East Coweta on the 5th. As for Lanier, they will take on Grayson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
