Wausau West was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marshfield Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  two weeks ago.
 Wausau West couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Marshfield a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 30-32, 25-20,  25-18.
 Ella Bohlin paced Wausau West's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bohlin got some help from  Ava Ngo and her 22 assists.  Mercy Kelly controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 Leading Marshfield to victory were  Natalie Delany and  Paige Schlagenhaft.  Delany  had 28  assists and nine  digs, while  Schlagenhaft  had 15  digs and two  aces. Those  15  digs gave  Schlagenhaft a new career-high.
Wausau West's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Marshfield, their record is now 25-14.
 Wausau West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  win against Stockbridge on the 18th. As for Marshfield, they have also already played their next match,  a  3-0  victory against Superior on the 23rd.
