SAN MATEO, Calif. - A big 28-point third quarter helped carry the Dons to a 35-7 victory over
Lincoln (San Jose, Calif.) on Saturday.
Aragon scored on a
Nicholas Petsche touchdown run, a touchdown run by
Patrick Pauni, a defensive touchdown and a
Keith Samujh touchdown run in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a Pauni touchdown run in the second quarter, AHS was up 7-0 at the half.
The San Mateo school grew its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. The Dons scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Petsche.
Lincoln's only touchdown came on a 2-yard run by
Oscar Ramirez in the fourth quarter.
Aragon also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 34-8.
With the win AHS extended its winning streak to three games.
Aragon (3-0) will play a non-conference game against Scotts Valley next week, while Lincoln (0-2) will take on Willow Glen also in a non-conference game.
