Washington had to endure a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Carl Hayden Community Falcons on Saturday as the Washington Rams made off with a 49-25 win. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Washington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was AnyaLisa Carino out in front who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Alicia Mendez, who had nine points.

Washington's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Carl Hayden Community, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Alhambra the next time they take the court. Washington will host Alhambra at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Carl Hayden Community will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th.
