Connor Sams' Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is Gretna East's Connor Sams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Sams rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
