It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes can now relate to. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. Booker T. Washington's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Booker T. Washington still got an impressive performance from Zephaniah Pratt, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jahmal David, who scored ten points.
Monsignor Pace got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jabari Dukes out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Trenchfield, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Booker T. Washington now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Monsignor Pace, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.
Booker T. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monsignor Pace, they will head out on the road to take on Mater Lakes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Monsignor Pace focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
