Verrado has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Verrado Vipers and the Saguaro Sabercats will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Verrado was beaten by Millennium 105-50. While losing is never fun, Verrado can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Millennium is ranked fourth).
Meanwhile, Saguaro pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Arizona College Prep by a score of 60-57.
Verrado now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Saguaro, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4.
Everything went Verrado's way against Saguaro when the teams last played back in December of 2021 as Verrado made off with a 63-38 win. Does Verrado have another victory up their sleeve, or will Saguaro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
