The McKinney Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 75-60 win over Little Elm. The victory was all the more spectacular given McKinney's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Little Elm is ranked 25th).
Despite the loss, Little Elm still got an impressive performance from Shiloh Kimpson, who scored 24 points along with three steals. Kimpson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amina Diallo, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
McKinney has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-15 record this season. As for Little Elm, their defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 23-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKinney's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Braswell at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Little Elm will take on Guyer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
