When it comes to explaining why Deep Run lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chris Suber. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Suber scored a full 40.4% of Deep Run's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Quentin Morgan, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Deep Run's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Godwin, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deep Run will be home for the holidays to greet Cosby at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Cosby is ranked 165th, while Deep Run is ranked 145th). Godwin will be home for the holidays to greet Meadowbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
