They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-46 walloping at the hands of Mountain Ridge. If Clear Spring was looking for revenge after losing 59-55 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Mountain Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameron Breighner, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Owen McGeady, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Clear Spring's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Mountain Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Clear Spring will head out on the road to take on the Railroaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain Ridge, they will be playing at home against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Walsh will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Miners are ranked 139th).
