The Gibson Southern Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 26 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Pike Central 65-5 at home. 65 seems to be a good number for Gibson Southern as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Gabby Spink, who scored 12 points along with six assists. The match was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nola Ravellette, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Gibson Southern pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pike Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibson Southern will be home for the holidays to greet Roncalli at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Roncalli is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.1 points per game. Pike Central will be home for the holidays to greet Jasper on Tuesday. Jasper presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pike Central in Indiana (Jasper is ranked 101st, while Pike Central is ranked 356th).
