Valley put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They steamrollered Ames 45-0. The win was familiar territory for Valley, who now have eight in a row.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Des Moines North, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They took a 16-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln.
Valley's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Des Moines North's defeat dropped them down to 0-8. We'll see if Valley's success rolls on or if Des Moines North are able to steal their positive momentum.
