The Milton-Union Bulldogs will face off against the Bethel Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Milton-Union comes in on three and Bethel on four.
Milton-Union's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Covington. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

03/29/25 vs Greenville | 7 |
03/17/25 vs Twin Valley South | 9 |
The result came thanks to Wyatt Kimmel's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jacob Grube was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Fraley, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Bethel got the win against Northridge on Thursday by a conclusive 11-0.
Brennan Montgomery was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Montgomery was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Evan Goodman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Nolan Mathenia was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Bethel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bethel pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.5 runs this season. As for Milton-Union, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Bethel's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Milton-Union has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .507. It's a different story for Bethel, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain Milton-Union's hitters?
Milton-Union suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Bethel in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
