The Fruitport Trojans won the last time they faced the North Muskegon Norsemen, and things went their way on Friday too. Fruitport managed a 47-43 win over North Muskegon. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fruitport.
Grace Sweet continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Ashton Olson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Fruitport's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Muskegon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Fruitport will head out on the road to face off against Spring Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Muskegon, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against West Michigan Aviation Academy at 5:30 p.m. West Michigan Aviation Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 569th, while North Muskegon is ranked 227th).
