 Last Friday, Owego Free Academy earned  a  7-2 win over Chenango Valley. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Owego Free Academy.
  Mason Grippen tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Elijah Lewis, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zack Beyer, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Chenango Forks gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  two weeks ago. They blew past Little Falls 19-11.
 Owego Free Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Chenango Forks, their win was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 1-0.
