Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Floyd Central's Winning Streak

If Floyd Central was riding high fresh off their 97-60 takedown of Betsy Layne on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars fell just short of the Belfry Pirates by a score of 77-74 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Jaguars have suffered since February 1st.

Despite the loss, Floyd Central still got an impressive performance from Chris Spriggs, who shot 4-for-5 from deep and almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine boards. Spriggs is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last four games he's played. Brayden Turner was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 14 points.
