The White County Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Habersham Central 77-33 at home. The win was nothing new for White County as they're now sitting on four straight.
White County was led to victory by Zoe Burkett and Emma Lightsey. Burkett scored 24 points, while Lightsey scored 33 points. The match was Lightsey's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Kylie Watkins was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
White County's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Habersham Central, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-9 record last season and are now at 2-7.
White County and Walker Valley will round out the year against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at. Walker Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 126th in Tennessee, while White County is ranked 43rd in Georgia). Habersham Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Powdersville at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Powdersville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Friday.
