Dawson Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Montgomery Johnston, who scored 20 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Johnston has scored at least 25% of Dawson Springs' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rex Blue, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Dawson Springs' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Fort Campbell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Dawson Springs will face off against University Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. University Heights presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dawson Springs in Kentucky (University Heights is ranked 40th, while Dawson Springs is ranked 159th). As for Fort Campbell, they will head out on the road to face off against Massac County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
