It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Dade County Wolverines had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Mount Pisgah Christian 49-7 at home. The victory was nothing new for Dade County as they're now sitting on five straight.
Dade County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Williams led the charge by rushing for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Bryson Shrader was another key contributor, throwing for 81 yards and three touchdowns.
Dade County pushed their record up to 6-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.67 points. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Dade County will face off against Commerce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Commerce is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Mount Pisgah Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
