Volleyball Recap: Shullsburg Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Shullsburg won the last time they faced Potosi, and Isabelle Wiegel did her part to make sure it happened again. The Miners came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 3-1 on Thursday with plenty of help from Wiegel, who had 43 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Shullsburg was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Potosi still got an impressive performance from Kylee Droessler, who had 27 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Harris, who had 18 digs.

Shullsburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Potosi fell to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shullsburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Belmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Potosi will take on rival Cassville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
