The Windham Whippets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waterford. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Windham has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Windham still got an impressive performance from Tahj Jones, who scored 24 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malcolm Hunter, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Waterford, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham will challenge New London at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New London has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 657 points over their last nine matches. As for Waterford, they will head out on the road to challenge East Lyme at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
