 Conner walked away with the   victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15,  25-20.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Lafayette, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Scott County on Wednesday, sneaking past  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Generals have posted  since September 20th.
 Lafayette was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-20,  15-10.
 Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Conner, their win bumped their record up to 23-7.
 Conner came up short against Lafayette in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, falling  2-0. Can the Cougars avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
