Last Friday, Tiftarea Academy got the win against Terrell Academy by a conclusive 34-14. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Tiftarea Academy just coasted through the last quarter.
Tiftarea Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Robert Walker, who threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Richardson, who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, St. Andrew's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Frederica Academy 49-13. St. Andrew's has struggled against Frederica Academy recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Tiftarea Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1. As for St. Andrew's, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-5.
