Even though the Scott Beavers scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, the Hoisington Cardinals still came out on top. Hoisington took their matchup against Scott 76-65. This was payback for Hoisington, who suffered a 40-22 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Hoisington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordyn Boxberger, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Hahn, who scored 14 points along with 9 assists and 5 rebounds.
Hoisington's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hoisington will square off against South Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Scott, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lamar at 6:00 p.m.
