The Collins Tigers came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Mize for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-43 victory at home. Collins has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jaylen Willingham, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten assists, and ten steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Latreyveon Lowe, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Collins' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Mize, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Coincidentally, Collins and Mize will both be playing Heidelberg the next time they take the court. Collins will host Heidelberg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Mize will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
