This season hasn't been kind to the Lueders-Avoca Raiders, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 83-30 loss at the hands of Aspermont. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lueders-Avoca in their matchups with Aspermont: they've now lost seven in a row.
Aspermont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaxon Hodges out in front who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hodges has scored at least 25% of Aspermont's points. Seth Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with nine assists.
Lueders-Avoca's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Aspermont, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
Coincidentally, Lueders-Avoca and Aspermont will both be playing Rotan the next time they take the court. Aspermont will host Rotan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Lueders-Avoca will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
