The Victory Christian Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They skirted past Jefferson Christian Academy 63-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
William Wilson-Hueter was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 20 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shepard Sargent, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists.
Victory Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Victory Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Jefferson Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
