Rangeview had lost six games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-4 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Overland Trailblazers with a sharp 21-11 victory. The Raiders not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1, 2025 (when they won 10-0).
Emmanuel De La Torre made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Luevanos, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Rashchuk, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Rangeview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overland only posted an OBP of .500.
As for Overland, they now have a losing record of 2-3. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Rangeview: they've now lost three in a row.
On Overland's side, Jerome Mestas was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those hits were Mestas' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Malachi Gross, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rangeview will venture away from home to take on Thornton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Overland, they will head out to challenge Hinkley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
