Lakota East simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hamilton 63-29 on the road. Given Lakota East's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Hamilton is ranked 690th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Emma Fohl was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lakota East's points. Another player making a difference was Bella Sturgill, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory got Lakota East back to even at 4-4. As for Hamilton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakota East will take on Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hamilton, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th.
