West Feliciana is 3-0 against Belaire since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The West Feliciana Saints will look to defend their home court against the Belaire Bengals at 6:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for West Feliciana and 12 for Belaire.
West Feliciana lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 57-36 defeat at the hands of Brusly. West Feliciana has not had much luck with Brusly recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite their loss, West Feliciana saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sanaya Berry, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Arieonia Ebbs, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Belaire was beaten by Plaquemine 56-17 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Belaire can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Plaquemine is ranked 86th).
West Feliciana's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Belaire, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
West Feliciana took their victory against Belaire when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 52-26. Will West Feliciana repeat their success, or does Belaire have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
