If the Ponderosa Bruins were feeling good off their 88-64 takedown of the Lincoln Fighting Zebras last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ponderosa fell to Nevada Union 71-66. The game was a 25-25 toss-up at halftime, but Ponderosa couldn't quite close it out.
Loss or not, Ponderosa got some senior leadership from Keenan Patterson and Marco Moorman. Patterson dropped a double-double on 33 points and 12 rebounds, while Moorman. almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Patterson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 24 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Travis Bays, who scored five points.
Ponderosa dropped their record down to 13-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Nevada Union, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-12.
Ponderosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nevada Union also has no future games currently scheduled.
