The Zanesville Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Logan Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Zanesville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Zanesville fell victim to Watkins Memorial's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Zanesville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 517th, while Watkins Memorial is ranked 210th).
Meanwhile, Logan came up short against Fort Frye on Friday and fell 26-14. Logan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Logan's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kaden West , who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. West 's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
The losses dropped Zanesville to 1-8 and Logan to 2-7.
Zanesville was taken down by Logan 39-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Zanesville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
