The Tradition Prep Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They strolled past Master's Academy with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. The victory was just what Tradition Prep needed coming off of a 50-18 loss in their prior match.
Despite the defeat, Master's Academy saw an underclassman step up: Gianna Guggeri dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Guggeri scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jalicia Treichler, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Tradition Prep now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Master's Academy, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.
Tradition Prep will take on Coral Springs Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Averaging 45.7 so far this season, Coral Springs Charter's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Tradition Prep better be ready for a challenge. As for Master's Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 654th, while Master's Academy is ranked 659th).
