South Plaquemines's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They blew past the New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy Bulldogs 16-5. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten  runs or more this season.
 Rod Parker made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because South Plaquemines is undefeated when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 4-6 otherwise. Parker was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-5. Parker is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: he's   snagged at least one every time he's  taken the field this season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Dean Ancalade, who  scored three  runs and  stole six bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. South Plaquemines is 5-1 when  Ancalade posts two or  more  runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Trevontae Williams, who  scored two  runs and  stole five bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 South Plaquemines  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since back in February of 2024.
South Plaquemines' victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-6. As for New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Plaquemines will take on Sumner at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy, they will square off against Warren Easton on Saturday.
