The Opp Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pike County. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Opp of the 59-37 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Opp's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reed Adams, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Harris, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Opp bumped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Pike County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Opp will take on New Brockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Brockton is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Pike County, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Daleville at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
