The Eastern Alamance Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Williams Bulldogs at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Williams took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastern Alamance, who comes in off a win.
 Eastern Alamance scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Eastern Guilford with a sharp  8-1 win. The  victory was just what Eastern Alamance needed coming off of  a  15-2 loss in their prior  game.
  Jarrett Newell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Newell has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Newell was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Tyler Westbrooks was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Braxton Ballard, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Williams lost a close one when they played  on Tuesday but unfortunately for them the  defeat they were handed on  on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They fell victim to a  rough 7-0 loss at the hands of Southern Alamance. The  matchup marked that first time this season in which Williams was not able to get on the board.
 Eastern Alamance's win  ended  a  six-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-5. As for Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Tuesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Eastern Alamance has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8.3  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Williams struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 8.6  per game. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Eastern Alamance came up short against Williams in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023, falling  4-1. Can Eastern Alamance avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
