Community had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell to American Christian School 53-49.
American Christian School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Kenyi out in front who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Japhet Santiago, who scored 17 points.
Community's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for American Christian School, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. American Christian School and Abundant Life Academy will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Abundant Life Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 418th, while American Christian School is ranked 206th).
