Alisal lost a heartbreaker the last time they played King City, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Trojans put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Nevaeh Lopez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.

In other batting news, Alisal got a big performance out of Ameryse Thatcher, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Jasmine Estrada was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Alisal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Alisal's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for King City, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Alisal wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Carmel on the 10th. As for King City, they have also already played their next match, an 8-6 victory against Pacific Grove on the 10th.
