A Season-Best Effort from Augie Fast Leads Northwest over West
On Friday, Northwest got the W thanks in part to Augie Fast playing the best football he has all season. Fast's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 154 rushing yards. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.
The win for Northwest keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Fast and Northwest are taking a road trip to challenge Manhattan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mason Came Up Big in Northwest's 60-14 Win
Jaylen Mason's big game helped extend Northwest's winning streak to five on Friday. Mason turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 340 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Unfortunately for West, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mason. Mason threw for 280 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes the last time he and the Pioneers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Darius Rogers Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Sadly, Darius Rogers posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Heights over Bishop Carroll on Friday. Rogers rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
For the season, Rogers has averaged 23.4 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to two.

Chase Carter and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Northwest picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Chase Carter. Nobody could stop Carter as he picked up 130 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 67 yards.
This season, Carter has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 62.2 receiving yards per game.

Zane Masterson Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Heights had to settle for second even though Zane Masterson put up the best numbers he has all season. Masterson rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 114 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Masterson has thrown 3 touchdowns while averaging 93.8 passing yards per game.
