Chichester is a perfect 10-0 against Interboro since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Buccaneers at 3:45 p.m.
Chichester easily dispatched Penn Wood on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eagles fell just short of Great Valley by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since May 12, 2025.
Meanwhile, Interboro strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Chester get on the board and left with a 16-0 win.
Jaxson Munro and Kaiden Whalen were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Munro tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Whalen tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Munro got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Whalen went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Austin Dean was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Nicholas Daino was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Interboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chester only posted an OBP of .267.
Interboro's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Chichester, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Everything went Chichester's way against Interboro in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Chichester made off with a 9-2 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
