Basketball Recap: Indian Springs Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Pleasant Grove came into Monday's game looking for another win against Indian Springs, but Dylan Heald wouldn't allow it. The Indian Springs Student slipped by the Pleasant Grove Spartans 44-43 on Monday thanks in part to Heald, who posted 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Indian Springs' points.

Long Truong was another key player, putting up six points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eithen Everson, who earned six points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Dj Phillips, who scored six points.

Indian Springs has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Pleasant Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15-1 record this season.

Indian Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-42 loss against Fairfield on the 5th. Pleasant Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
