If the St. Francis Christian Patriots were feeling good off their 59-34 takedown of Plaza Heights Christian Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Francis Christian fell 65-54 to the Crusaders on Saturday. St. Francis Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead First Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Levi Borner was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
St. Francis Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for First Baptist, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-6.
