On Friday, Pettus strolled past Banquete with points to spare, taking the game 64-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pettus.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pettus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matt Hernandez, who scored 12 points along with 9 steals and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Orr, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Pettus' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Banquete, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pettus will take on Falfurrias at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. Falfurrias is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Banquete will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Freer at 6:15 p.m. on December 12th.
