The Valparaiso Vikings entered their tilt with the Munster Mustangs with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. Valparaiso came out on top against Munster by a score of  62-55  on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 It was another big night for  Jack Smiley, who  scored 26 points along with nine  assists and six  rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for seven straight games.  Caden Crowell was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with five  rebounds.
 Valparaiso's victory was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Munster, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valparaiso and La Porte will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. La Porte is coming into the  match on a four-game losing streak. As for Munster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Griffith at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Griffith has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
