Basketball Recap: Northeast Has No Trouble Against Southwest

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northeast had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Southwest Patriots 55-34. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jada Smith, who went 8 for 16 en route to 24 points and four steals. What's more, she also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Indiasia Belll, who posted four points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Northeast is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Southwest, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Northeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-27 defeat against Dodge County on the 11th. Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
